I shipped the vast majority of my Book Expo "loot" and my boxes arrived on Wednesday! Since 1) I thought those of you that didn't get to go might want to live vicariously and 2) I like seeing pictures of other people's loot, I thought I'd record video of the box-opening festivities and share it with y'all.
Just a note: I only really talk about a handful of the titles I collected. There were many, MANY other great books in the boxes. However, if I had talked about every book about which I was excited, the video would have been about 3 hours long. :)
Books mentioned in this video:
Waiter Rant by Steve Dublanica
The American Painter Emma Dial by Samantha Peale
Packing for Mars by Mary Roach
Zombies Vs. Unicorns, edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier
Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly
Splendor by Anna Godbersen
Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen
Halo by Alexandra Adorentto
Matched by Allie Condie
Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin
PS: This is my first (and only) vlog! (If I get a decent webcam someday, I will make more. I kinda liked it!)

Oh, boy! More things for my TBR pile. Glad that I can read what other's bring back from BEA.
You are so funny!!! Loved seeing that...and the couch you were so happy about buying :) I must say though, the second cat to come into the frame at the beginning...is probably the largest one I've seen lol Yay for chunky, cuddly cats!!
Man I'm really kicking myself for not going to BEA this year. :( But you look like you had tons of fun!
Wow , tons of great titles. Happy reading!
Ooo, you got Shea's new Dinosaur picturebook! What were the other picturebook galleys hiding under there? Tell us pretty please?
Jennifer, that was the only picture book I picked up!
Awww, I was sure you had some pb galleys hidden underneath there. *pout*
Wow. I am really kicking myself for going to Nashville on vacation instead of going to any book or library related conferences/expos this summer. Then again, I still have a lot of loot from ALA midwinter to go through.
Looks like you had a lot of fun and have lots and lots of good books to read
You got an amazing selection. I'm jealous of the Zombies vs. Unicorns ARC. So much fun.
Sorry I missed you there - esp as it turned out that you could have stuck around anyway. Wah. Are you coming to ALA?
Pam, I don't *think* I'll be at ALA this year, but I can't stop trying to devise ways I might be able to go, so there's a possibility...
heh,you beat me, I only got 40 books. enjoy your books!
Yay, the box party was so fun! As was filming the video!
I think you need to do tons more video blogs, that was awesome!!! You need to employ Melody as your permanent camerawoman because her comments were great!
Thanks for not making fun of my bat too much :) I will practice my drawing for future box art.
haha! Love that second cat.
The cats wandering through the video was awesome! You came home with some excellent books to read. I think I might steal your idea of vlogging it. that seems to be a really good way to go about showcasing the books.
